New Orleans Airport & Hotel Parking Information

Flight info is as follows; New Orleans is served by the Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY). Jet Blue, United, American, Delta, and other airlines have scheduled service there. It is a 15 minute cab/shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel (during non-rush hour traffic). If you have multiple people (more than one) in your arriving group a cab would be cheaper. If you are alone the shuttle services charge $26/person.

There is no parking on the streets. Delivery vehicles will just stop in a traffic lane and unload, much like any other big city. There is parking in parking garages. They all have very low ceilings- normal cars will be okay. Some is self-park ($20/day minimum) and some is valet parking ($30/day minimum). The hotel has valet parking, also (probably $40/night). The rates adjust depending on the number of open spaces left. It is not discounted and it is a block or two or three from the hotel. There are many within easy walking distance from the hotel.
There are many one-way streets and some walking only streets as NAWLIN'S has narrow and crowded streets. Trolleys and shuttles are the way to go , at least downtown. Once you get to the hotel, you won't want to mess with your car- it's a real pain! The hotel is very nice about letting you unload your bags and extra folks right at the front doors of the hotel, before moving your vehicle to a public parking garage.
